Paper stops the moment you photograph it. Business-card stacks, meeting-room whiteboards, handouts — they sit in your camera roll, unsearchable, unshared, forgotten.

Memol's new Photo memo fixes that in one motion: just shoot. AI transcribes the text and turns it into a searchable note.

How it works

Pick Photo memo in the create menu (+), then take or choose a photo. AI reads the text, you review it (add a title and an optional quick memo), and save — photo + memo + transcription land in one note.

  • Business cards → name / company / title / phone / email, labeled automatically. Title becomes "Name (Company)".
  • Whiteboards & handwriting → groupings and arrows preserved as headings and lists.
  • Handouts & receipts → full text, faithfully.

Faithfulness comes first: illegible characters appear as ▢ and the AI never fabricates. You always review before saving.

A quick memo on every card

The save screen has a quick memo field. "Met at the expo, follow up in September" — that one line, saved with the card, is what actually de-silos your team. Anyone can search "the person from Acme" and inherit the context. If a dedicated card-management service feels like overkill but the stack on your desk keeps growing, this is for you.

Typed, spoken, and now photographed

Memol's idea has always been simple: write it, forget it — AI will find it. Type it, speak it (Voice memo), and now shoot it. Every entrance feeds the same searchable, AI-tagged second memory for you and your team.
