Which plan should I pick?
Free is right when
- You're using Memol individually (personal notes, reading list, tasks)
- Small team (family business, co-founder duo)
- You want to try before committing
PRO is right when
- 6–30 person small/medium business
- You want custom templates for consistent format
- You'll use AI search daily
BUSINESS is right when
- 30+ people or sensitive-data industry (legal, finance, HR)
- Need fine-grained folder access
- Audit log is a regulatory requirement
Payment methods
All plans support:
- Credit cards (Visa / Mastercard / JCB / AMEX)
- Debit cards
Payments processed by Stripe. Invoiced billing available for annual contracts ≥ ¥100,000 (contact us).
Plan changes
Upgrade
- Settings → Plan & billing
- Click Upgrade under desired plan
- Enter card details (first time only)
- Effective immediately
Charges are prorated. Difference appears on the next bill.
Downgrade
- Settings → Plan & billing
- Change plan link
- Select destination plan
Takes effect on the next billing date. You keep current features until then.
Watch out:
- Excess members block writes after a downgrade
- Excess notes are kept but new ones can't be created
Cancellation
Settings → Plan & billing → Cancel plan.
You keep current features until period end. After that you drop to Free (data is not deleted).
To fully delete your account, use the separate "Delete account" action.
FAQ
Q. Annual discount?
A. 20% off for annual billing. Choose "annual" at checkout.
Q. Different plans per member?
A. Plans are workspace-scoped. All members on one workspace share the plan. For mixed teams, split into multiple workspaces with their own plans.
Q. Can I pay inside the iOS app?
A. No. Per App Store policy we do not embed billing in the iOS app. Pay on the web (memol.app). Once paid, the iOS app reflects your plan.
Q. Free trial period?
A. The Free plan IS the trial. Upgrade when you're ready.
